(Oh and here's a preemptory bringing up of Byrd. Whatever. I think we can mainly agree that I am mostly right that far, far more senior Republicans genuinely agree that America would be a better place had Strom and the Dixiecrats prevailed.)
Not tarring you. The anti-war movement has always been driven by anti-Israeli groups. That's not to say your lot here is anti-Israel, I think maybe an odd sock or two was anti-Israel on the old board but didn't carry over. The people who sit on the committees that arrange the actions, the money people, etc. All want Israel gone.

she is moving pretty clearly in that direction.

Israel is physically moving its people out of Gaza. Hamas' response? We will kill them where they remain.

Might much of America get behind "the Jews are behind this?" Sure. But guess what- closing your eyes to reality will only have short term benefits on this stuff.

Ty speaks of some Wash. Post article as what bugs him most this weekend. Maybe he saves the NYT magazine for reading during the week, but the story on disaffected Islamic immigrants in Europe and the powder keg they are becoming is the more important story. It seems Europe is bad because women have rights which makes it tough to find an appropriately slave-like wife.

Another interesting tact (and honestly, one of the better reasoned of your posts in quite a while).

But putting everyone in the same boat here is dangerous. There are people who are anti-Israel because they are anti-Semites. Then there are people who are all in favor of a Jewish homeland, but who feel a little bit of sympathy for the Palistinian farmer who wakes up one morning to find his fields being bulldozed in prep for the latest Jewish subdivision, and who might understand (not condone by any means, but understand) how that might eventually give rise to enough hate to spawn terrorism.

But they're all red herrings. Israel is a red herring for Iraq. Iraq is a red herring for terrorism.

Let's be clear here (and I know that the two sides of the board simply have to agree to disagree here): what pisses us off about Bush going into Iraq isn't him going into Iraq, it's that he did so instead of actually attempting to solve the critical problem at hand, and worse, completely unprepared to deal with the situation that predictably developed.

Seriously, Penske, the photo shit is getting old. It's pedantic, and far worse, its not even funny.
Sorry you feel this way but from the days Ken PornStarr spawned this board to the present, it cries out for pedantic and unlike the FB, where the content must be funny, here its more serious less funny, as are the pictorial additions. Finally a picture is worth a thousand words, so there is an efficiency issue.

I do think that the North Koreans, Infirm and the DU have banned pictures though.

There are two reasons to post to this board: either to attempt to argue to someone in a manner intended to be persuasive, or to be funny. Your pictures (but not necessarily all pictures) fail on both counts. Please stop.

I was recently talking with a European attorney who informed me that the ultimate problem with America on the international scene was that we lacked the sophistication and maturity of the Europeans. I responded that it is too bad that we have not developed such a mature sense of anti-semitism as the Europeans, but noted that the Democrat party in America is looking for ways to sell the Israelis down the river to the next holocaust so maybe that should hearten the Euros.

Apparently he was offended by this and told me to "wank off". I proceeded to throw my Zinfandel in his face and have him ejected from the soire.

I take it you intended for this to be persuasive?

Is that true? When were those standards set up? Funny? There is nothing funny about these subjects. I am worried about my First Amendment and Second Amendment rights. The rights of the children to life. The effect of the culture of death. My property rights. I am worried aboyt dying because of the estate/death tax.
I am worried about the potential for our nation to be defeated by the forces of the Islamofacists or the RedChinese. I am worried about the damage that Bill Clinton's presidency did to our once great nation. I am worried about my children being exposed to Rainbow Parties because of Clinton's legacy of moral deviancy. Serious topics all. Not funny.

Mostly, going to all of those, I am worried about the shreiking howls of morally relativistic treason from the liberals.

If the Islamists take over I worry that eating bacon could become a crime punished by being stoned, and not in the good way.

You, a Republican, dare lecture me about moral relativism? Republicans, the party of Iran-Contra, of Gitmo, of Iraq?

Republicans, who are willing to sacrifice the future of our children (both their security in the world and their financial well being) for a temporary stranglehold on power, the rush of being the school bully, and a few measely pennies?

Fuck you and the elephant you rode in on.

Did it work?

I am pointing out the modern face of anti-semitism is hidden behind a veil of DEmocrat party legitimacy and we must all be ready to pull that veil (or burkha as the case may be) aside to reveal the ugly truth and face of hate.

The problem is the Democrat party makes the mission of Americans who support anti-bias, freedom and justice difficult.

For example here is our former Demo pres, making nice with a baby killer, Arafat (whom the International Community of anti-semitism gave a nobel peace prize to. Killing jewish babies=man of peace and tolerance]:

Here is Arafat’s predecessor, the Mufti. I am sure he was just having a funny dialogue with his friend in that picture.

Here is the result of the message of tolerance of hate and anti-semitism that the liberals teach American youth:

Here is the result of the tolerance of the same in the middle east:

Here is the ultimate result:

The babyjesus weeps.

The politics of personal destruction, nice. Jimmy has taught the party faithful well.

I decry anti-semitism and I decry anti-freedom and am willing to point out where those ugly sentiments exist. Unfortunately for the people of Israel, the democrat party of America and the Europeans are not quite so forthright.

As for "hate", the babyjesus hates the sin, not the sinner.

You didn't answer my question. Why, exactly, do you hate Muslims?

I'm pretty sure that the babyjesus dislikes you ascribing the infallibility of God to a secular nation.
