Y'know, you are really sexy and hot.
I will give you Lieberman, but he is a Dem in name only.

True, but it'll be fun to see when Bilmore explains that, by posting something that shows a Dem criticizing the Dem president, you really are proving his and Not Me's point that doing so is really endemic to the Dem soul because, um, er.... I think it's that exception that prove the rule thingy.

Good point. Because we all remember that from the very first days of the Clinton White House, he got the Democratic Party behind him in lockstep, and after those heady victories on gays in the military and the Hillary Healthcare Plan, it was one big cakewalk of mutual agreement and wagon circling until the heady Monica debacle, pun intended.

Me neither, which is why the word "happy" preceded and modified the words "side effect."

looked like you would look, but I wasn't sure. I understand the gender issue now. I guess Al Franken's work cuts a little too close to home, eh?

Oh, for Christ's sake, come off it.

Do you contend that Dems uniformly supported welfare reform in 1996? That Clinton took no criticism for this from his own party?

Do you claim that Dems uniformly supported Clinton's efforts at health care reform in the early part of his first term? What about his efforts to change the military's policy on gays?

Clinton came out of the DLC, the very existence of which was premised a critique of the Dem party from within.

You are a ridiculous, stupid twit. Interestingly, though, the fact that NOT A SINGLE "REPUBLICAN" POSTER HAS BEEN WILLING TO SAY THAT YOU ARE INCORRECT is rather fascinating, given the context.

(I would say that it's ironic, but then Gatti will do his Alanis imitation, and we don't want that.)

Right. Because God forbid that Gatti actually himself express admiration for Scalia's conduct on a point on which Gatti criticized him. After all, that might affect your view of him as part of the Democratic Monolith.

If I criticize you for failing to stp, does that mean Gattigap's going to sing?

Oh. Next time, do us a favor and post a list of "real Dems" versus "Dems in name only" before starting these arguments. You could have saved me the four hours I spent collecting Zell Miller quotations responsive to your inquiry.

Right effect, wrong reason, bucko.

It's the massive spending spree designed to curry favor with Senate Dems. It wipes out the concept of smaller government, builds expectations the wrong way, and, ultimately, the people he's pandering to just turn around and bite him on the ass for it anyway. It's just dumb.
