I can't believe I have to explain my analog to you. OK, I don't think they do as a whole, despite what the male porn watching population would like to believe, though there could very well be some who do. I did not take Spanky to be attacking your father. He was saying to you, alpha male like, "we aren't talking about him now." It seemed to me simply spanky trying to be assertive and manly. Once you've read this board for awhile you'll see that he is one big-assed shot and always on conference calls where his opinions are sought out and well-compensated. then he comes here and his opinions are dismissed.

how could you not expect some reaction? Its like when people argue with str8 over the merits of the selections for the next ex-celeb reality show. sure, we all want to voice our opinions, but some opinions are uber alles.

It is up to Spanky to apologize, explain or excuse his comment. Clearly there was some ambiguity in interpreting its intent, so he can clarify that, or not. You cannot do it for him, as much of a peacemaker you try to be.
