Germany was a country not unlike England. Hitler thought England might actually get to be an almost-allie. Hes really thought so.
That Germany could do what it did, shows that England could conceivably do something similar. rememberance means don't forget.

Because the fucking Nazis got all the Jews before they could get any. It's like when your brother eats all the cookies.

Because it dampens their celebration of the Holocaust on the other 364 days of the year.

there are no borders at EPCOT, only Gateways. You go straight to UK, maybe drop a LaBatt's at Canada, but you don't turn the corner and check out the rest, do you?

Gonzales is a silly nomination because it'll create another consent-required nomination to fill? Or because there'll be "more smearing" from the Dems during Gonzales hearings?
Oh, c'mon. You don't like Gonzales for other reasons, I'm sure. Pointing to this one as a reason to avoid nominating him makes little sense.

I suspect that most Brits would support Holocaust Remembrance Day, but that this would not be their reason.

And all those poor inner-city black children that Kanye West says Bush doesn't care about? Who is paying for them now? Or do we only support people in Appalachia?
Is this the general or specific "you"? Because if I live in a trailer, I want the landlord to give back some of our rent.
And then we have another AG battle and more smearing from the Dems. That is just silly.

1. No, the issue just wasn't explicitly teed up until Griswold. Like I said, privacy was always implied, logically - obviously.
2. I'd give them all free birth control and abortions. I'd make it economically advantageous for the inner city and appalacia to not reproduce.
3. You know when its a general "you" and when its not. Don't be coy.
4. Gonzales is a perfect candidate. The Dems have to take him because he's as centrist as they'll get. Thats why I like him. He's as closse to a Rockefeller Republican as we'll see.

I think that's why it's objectionable to (radical) Islam ists at best.
Right?

The GOP knows their race baiting Southern Strategy has a limited shelf life.

Howard Dean (head of the Democratic party):
"Republicans don't care about black people"
The Republicans are the party of race baiting? Are you fucking kidding me???

Ahem. My bad. I meant "racist" baiting.

No, it happened. It's simply equibalanced by Dean.

So you're suggesting Slave is a closet social consservative who doesn't like Gonzales because Alberto is soft on baby-killers?
Hmmm. I don't think Slave has ever stated what his personal view is on a woman's right to choose. What is that, Slave? What's your opinion on whether a woman has a right to choose? No politics. I just want to know if you think abortion is "murder" and/or women don't have the right to control their reproductive systems.
I told you mine - I think abortion is a lamentable necessity, and a right women must have in a free society.

You move Gonzales to AG, and you (1) open him up to further smearing and attacks by Leahy, et al, even though they fully vetted him a few months ago, and (2) now you have to re-fill the AG position with a new person and start that whole process again.
My preference of other candidates has nothing to do with the strategy behind this.

No. I'm sure that there are a variety of reasons why Slave prefers someone like Luttig over Gonzales, and don't know offhand whether abortion is one of them.
