The major points in case you get you get lost in the minutae:
1) Ty said he "never defended" the Mayor and the Governor when he repeatedly did.
Is there anyone on this board that finds it believable when Ty said he never defended the Mayor or Governor?
2) Part of that defense was that he never saw one article or statement that would support the fact that the Mayor or the Governor made a mistake, although he posted many aritcles, some obscure that showed federal screw ups.
Does anyone on this believe that Ty never came across one story that critisized the Governor or Mayor, but was yet able to find multiple stories that critisized the feds.
Do you have an opinion on this?

Not until you admit that your statement was idiotic. The only way to deal with people here, as you seem to have gathered, is to plug away on these stupid minute points until they admit they were talking out of their respective asses. I await your admission. Would you like me to repost your statement for you?

How does Spanky classify it? It is his idiotic claim that we are discussing.

And despite the evidence to the contrary neither has apologised.

Actually it is the only point I have discussed here today (other than a minor self-congratulatory Superdome thing that only Gatti and I care about). So I have baited and switched nothing. As soon as he concedes this point, we can move on. Welcome to the world of anyone who tries to ever argue anything with Spanky here. Sit down. Enjoy. Would you like some merlot?

This is fun. Perhaps I will take on your PB strategy from now on. Anyway, in case you forgot, lo these past forty posts or so, here is what you said:

and then, here is what I said:

I'm not getting in the middle of this fight generally because I'm sure Ty can defend himself, but I must say I did not see those photos during any of the many hours I logged watching CNN and MSNBC this weekend*. So, while I don't dispute the validity of the pictures (despite the fact they were linked by Penske) or the responsibility therefor of the local government, there is no way I would agree that thay are the most common image shown of the hurricane. Where is your evidence of this? Or are you talking out of your ass again?
ETA: * (or during the entirety of last week)

I await your retraction with baited breath.

I already posted that it seems I was wrong about it being on the cover of the Chronicle (although they did have an article about it). But it was on the cover of the Mercuary News and, I think, the Palo Alto Dailey. I have seen this picture more than any other picture. Some people may have had different experience. But there is no doubt this picture, at least in the Bay Area, has been commonplace. Even Ty admitted it was common because he said people were referring to it as the signature photo (which was wrong, not because it was not commonplace but because it did not focus on the human tragedy thereby implying it is commonplace). However, the point that I was making was that it was ridiculous when Ty asserted that he had not seen one negative comment about the Govenor or the Mayor. Especially when Penske had been posting this article. And this was just article in many. But again, you can't see the forest through the trees. You focus on the minutae becuase the end result is not to your liking.

I focus on the minutia because it is the only way to deal with you. Aren't you proud of all you have taught me? I am your star pupil.
ETA: Unfortunately I haven't yet taken to the twisting words part. Give me some time here, I'm still learning.

Reading comprehension not so good this late in the day? That is not what he is saying at all. Neither Gatti nor I dispute the pictures. We just never saw them in all the reports that we read and watched, so Spanky's characterization that they are The Most Common Picture Of The Hurricane is what is in dispute. It doesn't even particularly fucking matter except that for some bizarre reason, Spanky continues to debate this despite several people who have been watching the news stepping forward and saying that we haven't seen the pictures before today. Then Spanky tries to change his Most Common Picture thing to the fact that the story about the flooded school busses was reported, which I would not dispute. But that is not what he said initially. And he is too busy trying to back Ty in a corner for something to even realize the distinction between the two points.
This is why I don't typically post on this board. No one will ever back down on anything. How fucking annoying to listen to people bicker all day. I get enough of that on conference calls at work, thank you.

I open my heart and soul, and all you "caring" "friends" post 30 times about buses. I'm really glad I blundered onto these boards. It's good to know folks care. ![Frown](http://www.lawtalkers.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

You are not even the second most annoying frequent poster on the PB. Does that help your cause at all?

I want to thank you all for the overwhelming response. I will keep this outpouring in mind to temper my natural instinct to be harsh in responding to your posts. I can promise that the good you have all done here will earn you all what you deserve.

I don't think you are first or second in annoyingosity either -- there are people who are incredibly annoying (to me) apparently without even trying.

I don't know if you are a history buff, but you might know that an Austrian policeman said something quite similar to Adolf hitler circa 1924.
