Is that too much to ask?

Your snarky chortling about the supposed absurdity of everyone's doubts about the Iraqi misadventure is premature and baseless. I had the impression that it amused you to compile that little list of straw-man quotes, but I will concede that I don't really know when you're trying to be funny.
Is it a quagmire? Can we leave tomorrow? Then it's not.

Bitch, please. It's the obvious answer to your question. 6 million jews, were they alive, might make a compelling argument for a preemptive war.

They might, but it doesn't seem like anyone else can. Except if it's Hitler -- Hitler we shoulda gotten sooner. Can see that now, clear as day. Hitler bad, Saddam bad, pre-emptive war good!

Bitch, please. Cite me to evidence that we knew that if the French let Germany start building planes that it would lead to the deaths of 6 million Jews.

I blame Henry Cabot Lodge. If the US were in the League of Nations, then Britain would have felt safe about making the French feel safe about sending troops into the Rhineland in 1936.

Bush Lied!
I recall some around here arguing the bush administration talking point that Congress had access to the same intelligence leading up to the start of the war that the administration had.
Not surprisingly, they didn't.

1) Republicans lie when in positions of power-
2) Democrats will never be trusted in positions of power again in our lives-
Therefore, we must learn to live with liars.

I can go along with that. The Republicans keeping us out of the League of Nations was a shamefull act of stupidy and political expediancy. In my opinion, there is no doubt that some of the blame for WWII has to be laid at the feet of the those morons that kept the U.S. from signing the treaty of Versailles and kept the US out of the League of Nations.

That is a great phrase. Almost sounds like something out of Jabberwocky - can I borrow that?

I think the White House Christmas video is cute, though the dogs are better actors than most of the people (especially the First Lady).

Bitch, please. The truth is that even after we knew what was going on we still stood back. After all, it was only the Jews, Gypsies, Commies, and queers. It's not like anyone important was being exterminated.

I like guns, but I think their reading of the Second Amendment is an abomination.

Because French cojones would have nipped the support for Hitler in the bud?
