People who think global warming is real are anti-American. The relentless destruction of the environment and uncontrolled burning of fossil fuels is one of the things that makes America great. Dependence on oil from the MidEast and other dictatorships is another one of the things that makes America great. It's why everyone wants to live here, including all those pansy-ass Japanese whose anti-free-enterprise government forces fuel efficiency upon them, destroying the free market in the process.

The solution to many of our current troubles comes from increasing hybrid cars and making electric more practical. It drains the $$$ going into the mideast and it reduces pollution. I see us maybe moving in that direction, but slowly. 20-30 years maybe it'll carry a larger load.

As to the "fact" of global warming, I've won that one too many times here- your side, as represented here, lacks foundation to have the argument. Dismissed!

Nope. Worst decision in the city's history was Frank Jordan's decision to pose nude in the shower with two radio shock jocks.

Second place goes to any decision relating to Richard Hongisto, unless it was firing him.

In any event -- I didn't think that SF cancelled them. I did a little searching and all I saw was that the navy gave some non-substantive reasons for the Blue Angels not coming in 2004. Were they really cancelled by SF? Who? I couldn't imagine Newsom doing that, and if it was the Supes there would be some press about it but I'm not remembering or finding any.

According to the Navy website, however, the Blue Angels will be here this year. It's the one thing I miss about my last home -- I had an amazing view of them from my roof.
