Gatti, you can have my vote.

2. I even lost on the gay rights vote.

I don't really understand how there can even be an argument about a picture photo ID in order to vote. There is absolutely no other way to stop fraud. I don't know about other states, but in California there is massive fraud every year. The absentee voter cards are OK because the signature is matched with the voter registration. And if they are registered twice that appears in the system.
The problem is this is not done with the votes taking place at the voting booth. I don't remember the legal reasons. In California anyone can get a california state I.D. If you can't afford it, you can show that you can't afford it and get one for free.
These same voters if they don't have a voter ID can just fill an absentee form.

I remember signing in when I voted in California. They didn't match the signature? Same in Texas.

He should have been fired for having such a complete lack of understanding of the First Amendment.
Plus, WTF did he say? I know some people at WMAL; unless they changed management recently I have to imagine that whatever he said was pretty damn bad. Or the guy's a jerk to work with and they used this as a pretense.

I need to check with dtb to confirm what the sanctions are for incitement to commit exclamation point abuse on National Punctuation Day, but suffice it to say, this post could land you in some hot water, young man. I suggest you go back and edit.

Oh, Penske. It seems only yesteday that you loudly advocated personal freedoms. What has Elian done to anger you so? Are you so anxious to sacrifice your principles on the altar of a lower marginal tax rate with balooning deficits and interest rates in the out years? What will you do when the jackbooted thugs come for you, even in your fortified villa?
They will not stop upon your flashing of the RNC card, Penske. They will not stop for your offer of tax-free investments in a Cayman Island holding company. They will not stop for anything, and you will waste away in a lonely cell with only the memory of your posts to keep you warm. And even here, the memory will be soiled with this betrayal of your freedoms.

If they would just match the signature that would solve all the problems but for some reason they don't. It might be the delay. The absentees are all scanned individually by a scanning pen. Anyway they don't and every year when they do audits they find all sorts of problems with the vote.

which terrorist act of Janet Reno's was most offensive to the freedoms we have come to expect in these great United States:
1 Waco attack
2 Elian's banishment to a life of squalor
3 Ruby Ridge attack
4 Appearing on my television frequently for 8 years.
Discuss.

Haven't you heard? They are not ballooning anymore. As happened under Clinton the deficit problem is slowly being solved by economic growth. If you haven't noticed that in years of recession the CBO overestimates the amount of revenue and in years of growth they underestimate the amount of revenue.

No worries. I've earned one free pass. Back in the day I sent dtb a PM that consisted of a 500 word, compound sentence with flawless punctuation, dedicated to the glories of proper grammar usage.
As a result, I believe I am next in line on her crush list, after the cutie trader who invited her to the island, and then ShapeShifter. Oh, and her husband.

Well, that's that. Excellent! Hopefully, before the end of his tenure Bush will become confident enough about things to put the cost of the Iraq war back on the books.

Let us not forget that she directed the special prosecuter to look into the Lewinsky affair to search for evidence of perjury or obstruction of justice.

Election day should be expanded to 3 days over a weekend. NO absentee. If you can't make you forfeited your right, Tough shite.
