A little surreal to have a law school classmate's indictment on the national news.

I thought Cornholio might be indicted. Not seriously, but he was deposed by the Jan. 6 committee.

I didn't think Eastman would get indicted. Disbarred maybe, but I figured DOJ would show professional respect to lawyers, especially lawyers who come off as establishment. I didn't count on the Fulton County DA's Office, God bless 'em.

His emails seem pretty incriminating.

Cornholio was before me I think. He was someone mentioned in these posts?

I was referring to Eastman's emails. Cornholio is a different right wing weirdo.

Eastman is deranged.
Say what you will of this Ramaswamy guy, he makes a good point here. Historically, "Trump Derangement Syndrome" was an insult thrown at the Left. We've neglected examination of its manifestations on the Right, which are, apparently, far more significant.
Why, I asked him in today’s episode of Honestly, would voters would go for New Coke when they can have the original? He said this: “Do you want a two-liter bottle that’s been in the fridge and doesn’t have the same fizz that it did when you first popped the cork?” He added: “I’ve got fresh legs. I’m 37. I’m going further than Trump did. And I think the part that’s most persuasive is the truth: thirty percent of this country becomes psychiatrically ill, maybe deranged, when Trump is in office.” https://www.thefp.com/p/vivek-ramasw...stly-interview

I want someone younger than Trump or Biden, but not a Putin appeaser.

Would definitely prefer someone younger, but I don't think we're getting any viable options.
The election is going be a referendum on whether Trump should face accountability for his various crimes. I'd hope our collective answer is yes, but the heck if I know.

That’s basically anyone but no one wants that job if they’re under 80 and have had success at anything.

Nobody’s emerged from Democrats as a challenger to Biden. And none of the younger GOP candidates are near Trump’s numbers.
It’s looking like the Democrat side will be Biden, RFK Jr., Williamson, and Colonel West. For the GOP, Trump, Ramaswamy, DeSantis (if he lasts), Scott, and a handful of hopeless sorts like Hutchison and Christie.
Our politics are terminally dysfunctional until all the boomers are dead.

You've probably heard this one before, but:
What's the difference between a small child and a bag of cocaine?
Eric Clapton would never let a bag of cocaine fall out the window.

Whitmer might make a go? No one from Michigan has even been elected Prez.

But you did give us Ford, though I guess he's also pretty much a nobody, so you can even say nobody from Michigan has ever been President.
