So to speak, yes.

Gatti,

Please allow me to retract my earlier statement. I believe that Flinty's plan is to play solid tight-aggressive poker with you and the other suckers, err, I mean players. He will then escort you to your cars once he has separated you from your money.

If you need to borrow a few bucks for gas, he may take pity on you, however there will be a reasonable rate of interest charged on the loan. What is he a charity? I don't think so.

Good luck, sucker.

Cheers!

Gatti,

Please ignore ncs' ramblings, she's been on quite the bender since her beloved Giants got humilated in the playoffs. She's just not right in the head these days. I've been trying to get her into counseling, but Mr. Man is also in some state of denial and won't sign the medical release forms. The real truth about my game is that I play super loose tight agressive passive, depending on position. I hope that is helpful to you. Please bring cash.

Best,

Flinty

Now that you mention it, you do strike me as sort of passive-aggressive.

Cheers!

Check this out. On Saturday night (Sunday morning) I am driving home from a night of drunken debauchery with Less and Slave and I come across a deer lying down in the road that refused to get up and move. I get out of the car and realized it is injured. It must have been hit.

I pick it up and throw it in the trunk of my car (which it did not appreciate very much). Left the trunk open and take it down to the Adobe animal hospital. After being lectured to about how I was supposed to leave the animal in the road and call animal control, I offered to pay for the medical care. I WAS TOLD THAT THE CITY OF PALO ALTO WILL AUTOMATICALLY COVER IT. Can you believe that? I just can't imagine that too many cities have that policy.

I ditched before the cops showed up because I didn't want any questions about how much I had been drinking.

Just another night in Spanky land.
You have such unbelievably poor judgment around animals that it's really no wonder that Less and Spanky deal you in so happily.

Are you talking about another Spanky? Or is Spanky dealing Spanky in on something? Is he like Jimmy?

Sonofabitch. I mean Flinty. I hate it when alcohol ruins a perfectly good joke.

Restaurant Questions

So here is a list of places suggested by my client for a client dinner in SF later this month:

Gary Danko, Slanted Door, Bacar, Michael Mina

I know there has been discussion of Gary Danko here before (overrated?), but any opinions on it or the others? Assume that the firm is picking up the tab... And that at least some diners are not meat eaters (other than seafood).
