3 bed townhomes way the fuck out are going for $600k. Granted, they're pimped out, but you can't get anything that isn't fully optioned, either, if you're buying new. The TH two doors down from me (which lacks my TH's fourth bedroom due to vageries of topography) just sold for 3x what I paid for mine in 2000 (this is somewhat extreme - my neighborhood is older and is under a renaissance from the nearby construction of a new townhome community - the folks who lose the lottery over there come over here and decide they can spend $100k remodeling and still come out ahead)
Virginia is looking a bit more reasonable right now. The prices over there seem a little lower.

Penske must be stopped.
That is all.

The washington post on Sunday. You may be able to search them online, selecting for "open today". I forget.
Also, almost all houses that go on the market are open the week they go on.

Bingham/Swidler
Any reaction to the Bingham McCutchen-Swidler Berlin merger? Where will the combined firm rank in terms of DC office size (about 180-190 combined lawyers, according to press coverage)?

Price check: efficiency (approx 550 sft) and 1 BR (approx 800 sft) condos in the Woodley Park area? Also, parking spots in condo buildings in same neighbourhood?

I've seen parking advertised for $20k fee simple. Maybe $150-200/mo.

Wow, the market for parking is somewhat stagnant. That doens't sound so different from the mid 90s.
