I don't think its a best hope. Hell, it's not that out of line with other really, really offensively stupid things the Supremes have allowed cops to get away with. I don't even think that Alito shouldn't be put on the Court. He's clearly qualifed and its your choice. Thems the rules. Doesn't mean I can't bitch about it, though, at least until the originalists decide to start treating the First Amendment like the Fourth.
But I think okaying the anal probing of a ten-year-old might get a little traction, with the right spin.
