The whole damned cartooon was sick. I can't recall the comedian who said it, but some comedian wisely observed years back that Smurfette was basically the world's biggest slut, and that the whole culture was based based around incest, since Papa Smurf had to bang his daughter to create the rest of the Smurfs, who, in turn, must have all banged their sister (NTTAWWT... er, wait... The only sicker culture was the Keebler Elves. Young strapping elves were constantly parading in front of aging queens who used the virile young elves like Caligula with teenaged greek boys.

I think there are a few justices who think Roe is a bad decision but here I think the practical consequnces outweigh constitutional law. This court would never have decided that way in the first place, but I don't think the current court or any future court is going to overturn it. I don't think the justices are going to overturn it because it would rip this country apart. There would be riots and abortion would become the number one issue in this country.

I think the decision is like Miranda (although I would still like to see Miranda overturned). No one is willing to plunge into that much of an unknown to overturn it.

How would overruling Miranda cause riots or anything close? It would be quite possible to overrule most of it, while keeping some test to ensure that confessions have not been coerced, and still retain all of its prophylactic goodness.

I couldn't agree more. The fools on the Right crying for Roe to be flipped just don't understand the assfucking that would give the GOP. It would destroy the party. Shit, flipping Roe would destroy the two party system...
