Clinton paid with extraordinary public humiliation, untold private misery (i.e his marriage), and several pounds of flesh.

The whole nation and the Democratic Party paid for it too-- insofar as it helped provide fuel for a partisan-motivated scandal and investigation that effectively paralyzed the White House for at least three years, cost the nation $40 million, and helped to elect Bush II.

For the sake of God and the bayjesus, Penske, STFU about it already and leave him alone.

Focus your crazed energy on the people who have power now and can make a difference.

No, I was doing my normal thing of thinking five serial thoughts, and then typing only the last one. Try to keep up.

Seems this is aimed, somehow, at placing moral approbation for those American deaths on Bush. Doesn't work. Cops die, too, but no one blames the taxpayers. There's another, badder, element involved.

You said you were relying on the Second Amendment to protect your property rights from, inter alia, the murderers. I asked you who you meant by the murderers. You replied you were referring to the Kennedys and the Clintons.

I asked you: (i) why you felt these people from the East were coming after your property; and (ii) why, if, as you maintain, killing is wrong absolutely, you felt you could reconcile a willingness to kill these people with a moral life lived in accordance with what is absolutely Right and forsaking what is absolutely Wrong?

I never offered any defense, or indeed, any comment at all on the kennedys or the Clintons. I don't view them as relevant to our discussion, Penske. We are debating whether there are absolute Right and Wrong, and why you seem to feel that you can claim to be superior to others, myself included, for respecting these absolutes when, in fact, you don't respect them.

Once again, Penske, you are ducking the issue. Is killing an absolute Wrong? And if it is, then how can you support war and a right to bear arms?

These are the things you claim to believe. Help me understand.

I haven't killed anyone. the 2nd amendment is a deterrent to those who might otherwise make a move. as for the people from the East coming to take my property, it happens every year. The IRS invades my home through the USMail and robs me of cash.
