Think of this as G3's law: always assume Republicans are complete fuckin morons.

Like this: Well, McCarthy might try to find a majority working with conservative dem... oh, wait, that would violate G3's law.

Or like this: McCarthy giving Gaetz a spotlight to clown in for the next two years might not be very sma.... oh, yes, G3's law.

I think Republicans like Gaetz are acting very rationally. He had leverage and used it. The mistake is in assuming that they are in Congress to legislate. People like Goetz and Boebert are using their positions to play to their base in a way that brings them power and money on the outside.

If McCarthy tried to find a majority working with Democrats instead of Republicans, he would be defenestrated quickly.

McCarthy did not give Gaetz a spotlight -- voters did that.

That's cool, but it looks like the Dechert lawyer was supporting the Penn student, not on the other side.

Shit. You are correct. Still, love the footnote. And she argued it.

A team of good law students, with only one case to work on, probably writes a really good appellate brief.

We thought it was us witty guys that kept people coming back. Turns out it was actually Abba and GWINC telling bar pick up fuck stories?

It sounds like what the board needs is a little pick-me-up. Here is a non-exhaustive list of things Sebastian was wrong about, in descending order of egregiousness:

1. The spelling of Lil Jon’s name
2. They’ll never overturn Roe
3. No horns in rock - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=To7q0cn0Fk4&t=11s
4. A president inciting a violent mob to storm the Capitol in order to prevent the certification of a fair election, and to hang those perceived as traitors, including his own vice president, was not a “threat to democracy”
5. That goldfish only have three second memories
6. That the cascading arpeggios of Coldplay’s Clocks somehow redeemed the song and made it transcend the banality of the Coldplay oeuvre
7. That P.J. O’Rourke was the next Hunter S. Thompson
8. The spelling of Hunter S. Thompson’s lawyer’s name

I thought that was Matt Taibbi, who, by the way, appears to have disappeared except for tweeting about Twitter.

More recently, yes. Also wrong.

Ok so this is obviously the Zombie board now? Some things are better off dead. Walkers, puffers, clickers are worse than dead.
