I don't think they cared when I wrote articles about his pro-life stuff, but the articles I wrote critisizing their fiscal prudence really crossed the line and showed the people around him that I was a "financial ideologue" that couldn't be trusted. My fiscal criticisms were damaging to his administration in the "Valley" and I am pretty sure that is why I became "persona non grata". I think the social conservatives around he think I lost favor because of my socially liberal views, but I am pretty sure it was they new I could not be trusted to go along with the spending increases. They warned Arnold that I was a knee jerk fiscal conservative. I don't think I am, but that is the way I am perceived.

You are bringing "it's all about me" to a new level.

It is a sad day here, when I see criticism of my boy, Bushie, coming from his so-called friends. Moreover, I see them criticizing the man's loyalty to his friends, which I view as a sure indication that George W. is an honorable man. I predict he will be just as loyal to Miss Meirs as he was to his old friend Brownie, and that the little miss will stand by him just as Brownie did.

Now, I ask that all of you good conservatives get behind him, like we always do.

Home ownership is really "investment."
If you need to tap your savings,
It's hard to sell and live in Ma's basement.

It's not that I think home ownership
I just another form of spending:
But it's not stocks, bonds or deposits,
And is worryingly mired in lending.

If you want a better target
For income tax deduction,
I'd deduct tuition, to broadly
Stimulate economic production.

Frankly, Red, I don't give a damn.

I agree it should not fiddle with the markets, but if it must fiddle, the interest deduction is damn sensible fiddling. .
While you might fiddle with it, reasonable expectations limit how much you can fiddle at once without creating severe dislocations. I would repeal it, but over a long period. E.g., reduce the deductible amount in 5% increments over 20 years. So, this year 100% deduct, next year 95% of interest is deductible, and so forth. Sure, people will pay for a lot of points with new mortgages, but at least you'll get most of the expected tax savings on your curren tmortgage.

It is all about me.

But I also think my story sheds some light onto what the real priorities are.

Nor did O'Connor or Rehnquist.

Huh? In 1974, the cowgirl ran successfully for trial judge, a position she held until she was appointed to the Arizona Court of Appeals in 1979.

2. And while I supported him at the time and think his nomination was prejudicially shortchanged, I am glad he is not on the court today, although I wish it could have been accomplished differently, like he was approved but then died from the excitement of the swearing in.
You seem to be wishing an awful lot of death on various senior judges recently. Beware, Penske, lest the eyes from the shadows take this the wrong way.

I'm with holding comment until I can see a full body shot of her with something a little more form fitting than what she wore this morning.

Might want to keep editing.

Don't feel bad, though, "home ownership" and "investment" are brutal.

Sadly, though, most of them tend to stop at Leviticus.

Its almost 20 years in the past tense. If the shadows are concerned they should be more worried about Senator landrieu's threats against the President, threats which she has the power to carry out on an imminent basis. Will the dims ever apologise for that?
